whew- What a week!

c
I am busy playing catch-up with some challenges today. Tomorrow and Saturday are shot with travel and the last few days I have been busy (in a good way) working on some items for the new Sherrod Studio stamps/design team! These are wonderful stamps, great quality, clear acrylic stamps- free shipping until 7/7!

The card above was made for this weeks Card Patterns Challenge (my sister, Kris, was the sketch artist). I used MM Chloe's Closet papers, with matching stick ons and journal papers. Used CTMH sentiment and the final touch this card needed was the orange marker to outline in stitches around the stick on. Very out of the box for me, but I am very happy with the final product!
Played along with 365 Cards, Day 123, White Space. The sketch, which I rotated, has the middle out: hence the white space. Nothing was to be in it. On the surface, you may think, well that is easy enough....until you actually create the card. There you have this space and my artist eye was trying to figure out what to do with it. Thought of lacing to pull the pieces together, but no, not allowed! So, my compromise was to use this green and give it a scallop edge to soften the card. CTMH sentiment from Say it In Style. These are MM, that Kris gave to me, from our shopping trip girls day out we just had.

I think that the rest of today will be spent reading a book and spending some time with the girls. There is no way that I can catch up to the other weekly challenges that I LOVE to visit, so I will rest up this weekend and start fresh on Sunday.

Have a wonderful holiday-
