This card came together very easily last night. While watching TV with my daughter, the crafty mojo kicked into gear. Received this paper over the weekend and love it! I am finding that I am making too many girl baby cards...hmmm..... Anyway, not sure where the paper is from- just a great stack of 8x8 matching patterns. Bunny is a felt stick on, MM tiny alpha stickers. The sketch I was inspired by came from my fave site Unscripted Sketches (though I told myself that I need to make more layouts from this site, not cards!). This is also my first attempt at crimping ribbon on my card. Needs more work to get this technique down, but love the textures on it!
Now this card, pushed me to my limits in patience! LOL!! I am still trying to work on watercolor pencils- this horse just needed soft colors. I hate the paper curling-grrrrrr....! Used hemp to add to the rustic cowboy feel of the card. This stamp set is from CTMH and has a set of horseshoes which make a great border. I stamped them onto this blue binding tape. Now, the sketch challenge came from Cupcake Craft Challenges. Not only was it to follow the sketch, but follow the COLOR scheme of the sketch (blue, brown, tans...) Thanks for stopping by!

Day 2 of sneak peaks....
This holiday card uses the Sherrod Studio Set, Friendship Blossoms. There are some great sentiments to be used for a variety of seasons. I chose to use this sentiment on a Christmas Card, since it reminds me of the Grinch (still love to watch all of the holiday cartoons!!!). Kris passed on some great Flair papers and paper ribbon. Took out my new fiskars punch, Merry Christmas ribbon tied the whole card together.
Don't forget to stop by Sherrod Studio for a chance to win a new set! And, while you are blog hopping, over to the left of my blog and see the other team members sites to get your fill of more sneak peeks.....

Basic Grey's new challenge blog
I stumbled across this blog a week or so ago, while it was still under construction. I checked in today to see that they are back up and running and have a sketch challenge for the 1st new challenge on the newest improved site! I loved the sketch! I used more of my Wisteria Basic Grey papers (almost done this pack, need more!). The faith charm was from the jewelry dept on major clearance, stamp is from Verve, flower is prima- just added some sparkle glitter for more depth, misc satin ribbon. Lace is a new embellie for me. Stopped at Joann's last week and got some on clearance to try it out. I have to say, I love it and it matches the doily scallop punch from MS. Thanks for stopping by- Basic Grey will get more visits from me!

Gifts of Friendship
I created this card for 2 challenges. Inspirational Sketches, which was the foundation of my card (and the 2nd part of the challenge besides the sketch was to make it a CHRISTMAS card!)as well as the site Use It! #22.
The sketch is, well, the sketch. Use It presented some fun challenges: try a new technique, new stamp and new papers never used before. Boy, I lucked out on this! As for the technique-I used a full sheet of 12x12 paper printed with gifts, cut out each gift, and made them my "diecuts" focal point on the card. I also used colored cardstock as my base instead of white or off white and I actually decorated the inside of my card (the finished sentiment says "is your friendship"). New sentiments from CTMH as my stamp and the papers, just got from Kristen over the weekend and broke them out today! They are retired from Flair.
Are You Ready for a New Release?
This week, Sherrod Studio is releasing 3 new sets of stamps. I have the privilege of previewing the new set, Friendship Blossoms. This flower is fantastic! There is an outline of the flower that I used, stamped 3 times on yellow c/s and cut out smaller each time (see post below for close ups) and popdotted each layer for dimension. Used glitter to add some sparkle!! Cut out "faith" with my cricut, added white waxy flax for tendrils. The blue paper and green leaves are from colorbok.
Check out the other members of the DT for some great artwork this week from the new sets. I'll be back tomorrow with another "peek" into the holidays.....

2 more challenges
This card was made using the sketch from The Fresh Batch #27 and the color theme from Cute Card Thursday, Tealy Good (to use red and teal). I used my new papers The Green Stack from DCWV. The sentiment is actually a transparency that I cut down to size!
This was just another quick card to showcase the Ella set from Sherrod Studio. The presents could be used for Christmas or even color coordinated to match your wrapping paper on a gift for a birthday present!

many cards today
This card is too cute! This set, Gracie, from Sherrod Studio is so versatile! The teddy bears on here could indicate a Welcome Baby (neutral enough for either boy or girl) or it could be used as a birthday card for a toddler. The papers are from Basic Grey.
Love how this card turned out! This was made for Cupcake Craft Challenge #51, which was to make a project with a beach theme. I used the By the Seashore stamp set by Sherrod for the bucket and sentiment. Cut out a circle, and shadow from my cricut for the sun. Popdotted the bucket and used glitter to give the sand some summer shimmer!
This card is my favorite! I just rec'd my new DT fall stamps from Sherrod Studio. This floral set is called Friendship Blossoms. The sketch I followed is from the site Twisted Thursday- use polka dots. I used my swiss dots embossing folder to add the dots onto the floral paper. Hope that counts! Distressed all of my edges. I stamped the flower 3x on cardstock then cut out 3 times, each time smaller than the other to give height and dimension. Added glitter to the edges. Leaves cut on cricut, added hemp for extra texture. With everything going on, the card was left blank- the sentiment can be written on the inside.
