Sound corny? But that is what we are. This was taken last year for our 14th anniversary. We took the day (our first date without the kids- they were in school! No babysitter, all day togetherness!) and went to a local town we had never been to before. Shopped and ate a wonderful lunch outside along the Delaware River. Don't know what we will be doing this year, the big 15! But, after all of these years we can still be "love birds" and get all mushy gushy. Even the dogs try to get between us, bad enough the kids are always pushing us apart!
Supplies: basic grey bird paper, ctmh heart stamp, bird saying on border, black chipboard letters, buttons, fiskars punch, tiny rhinestones.
The House of Paper: where creativity comes alive, where memories are cherished, and where friends connect.

Fun Friday
2nd and last post today. While waiting for everyone to wake up this morning and to wish me Happy Birthday wishes, I made this really cute b'day card AND it qualifies for 6, yes count them 6 challenges! wooohhooo, hubby said that was being efficient!
1) Dannisdreamscrafts.blogspot- to create a b'day card using butterflies or fairies (and we share the same b'day "Happy Birthday Danni, this card is for you!"
2) 2 sketches for you #34 sketch
3) ABC-challenge.blogspot- C is for circles, used a 1/2 circle and full circle for my fairy image and paper with polka dots!
4) craftycreations.blogspot- use 3 or more patterned papers
5)Inky Impressions #13, to create a b'day card using a II stamp (fairy was a free download from them a bit back)
6) Pile it on- to use round on your card (circles count!)
enjoy!

It's my birthday...
and today I made myself a card! LOL! What really happened is last night my wonderful DD wanted to make a card for me. She left a bunch of scraps on the table (not too happy about that 'cause I can't find my things!) and found this great scrap piece from SEI. It has glitter all over the flowers, raised dimension, and I love this purpley-blue color it is. So, the challenge on 365Cards is to use felt on your card (which the pink flowers are) and I used the sketch at Fridays Sketchers. Just moved the text box over to be under the flowers since I didn't want to hide more of the DP paper than necessary. Hubby brought home a big bouquet of flowers yesterday with a HUGE kiss and I Love You's. So, today, I will take time for the flowers and enjoy the bouquet and spending time with my kiddos bowling!
Enjoy your long weekend!

time to play....
I am so behind in my challenges! This is for CPS #131, cute sketch that I turned on its side. cut out the surfboards, stamped the ocean waves, added liquid applique and glitter.
Created a set of boy cards, using 365 Cards Day #185, feeling blue. To use 3 shades of blue on your cards. I used indian corn blue, baby blue, dark blue ribbon/bazzil die cut stickers. Fun cards for that young man- nice to do them instead of girl cards for a change!
thanks for stopping over today.

2nd post for tuesday - hey, 2 for "two"sday!
Used more of the K&Co. Sweet Berry papers and loved my funny on the word very. The chipboard fruits were on clearance for 99cents! How cool is that! Sketch from Card Patterns.
Sketch here from 365 Cards, Super sketchy sunday. Love it! even better is to use up my supplies, cut down on my scraps!
Oopps! This is my project manager. Every time I come to the window to take my photos, she climbs onto the ledge to check out what I am doing then leans in and licks my face- like getting the GH seal of approval. Now, this is only 1 of my 3 dogs. The other 2 then take turns walking through the window ledge, like watching simon says.

Glittery Tuesday- a few challenges to see
I just love this stamp set from Sherrod Studio. It is "Friendship Blessings" and what is my fave technique to do with the large flower is to stamp it 3 times and cut it out from cardstock smaller each time. 3D foam inbetween each layer for extra dimension. Add some glitter and it really gives it personality. Cricut leaf and CTMH sentiment.
SSHHH! This card is for my hubby. Tomorrow is our 15th year of wedded bliss. I always hesitate making him a card b/c I am not sure it is what he would like. He loves my crafting, don't get me wrong. Maybe it is my hangup thinking that only women like homemade greeting cards. Anyway, the sketch is used is from a new site I stopped by today. Mercy's Tuesdays Sketch #37 and I really like the colors that I used. Had these papers out from the weekend since I made a layout for Unscripted for this coming weekend. Don't forget to stop by....wink.wink.... Basic Grey bird paper, the rest of the papers are CTMH, Heartfelt stamp set and Say it in Style stamps also from CTMH. Hollyhock ink, black ink and prisma glitter are CTMH, too.
Lastly, I was going through my sketches and challenges from the last 2 weeks and trying to decide whether to start from scratch or play along anyway after the fact. My inner challenger wouldn't let me toss them so this card is for: Card-a-licious #26, to create a friendship card using the colors pink, orange and green (love love love my K&C0 Sweet Berry papers and found the 3d owls for the same set!) and the sketch that helped me to finish the card is from Inspirational Card Sketches #32. I like this site alot, don't know why I don't do more for the challenges. Put that on my things to do list since the kiddos are in school and I have more time to play.
Happy Tuesday everyone!
